Large bulk of stolen gear - budapest

DIR-Austria folks got hit hard in Budapest, right in front of the Hotel.

Pls. keep an eye open, some of the items are quite recognizable,
equipment for approx EUR 22.000,- got stolen.

Very sorry to hear this. I hope you recover all of this without damage.

I "lost" 5 regs on a trip a few years ago. I know how you feel.

that sucks..

I hope the kit is found soon and the perpetrators are strung up..

It takes months - if not years to build up that gear and configure it.

That's rough. This amount of gear has got to surface somewhere...
I'll set up a few google alerts to keep an eye out more broadly across the web for anyone advertising similar items....

Sorry to hear that. Have you also posted this on thedecostop and scubaboard? I can cross-post on French/Belgian diving forums if you want (won't do it without your approval), and I think it would be an idea if people would post it on their country forums as well.

Try to watch the local newspapers as well, not just the net. And if you have people who can help locally, have them go have a look at the flea markets and night markets, lots of stolen goods show up in places like that.

And obviously, forward to all the local dive clubs as well.
