New ventures

Hi Guys,

I've been getting emails and texts about this now for a few weeks, so I guess the news isn't as widespread as I thought.

In November 2007, I resigned from my job at the University of Sheffield to concentrate full time on delivering GUE training within the UK and abroad. I'm now a Tech 1 instructor and a Halcyon dealer, and am also organising holidays and expeditions for GUE trained divers.

I know that the UK has been short of a full time GUE instructor since my friend Andy Kerslake moved on to pastures new, so hopefully I will be able to help you guys out over the coming years.

My diary is pretty busy until May, but after that I would love to see some people on GUE fundamentals and Tech 1 classes.

If you want to know any more bout these classes, or any other aspects of what I'll be doing (equipment, expeditions etc) then please don't hesitate to drop me a line. Please take a look at the website as well - lots of interesting information which I'll be building over the coming months.

Best wishes for 2008,

Rich

Good luck, Rich! Those expeditions in particular look very interesting. My holidays and wallet contents are spoken for for 2008 but I think I will be keeping a close eye on your site for 2009....

David - Thanks a lot - exciting times! Yeah, a Portofino Tech 1 would be awesome wouldn't it. I'll drop you an email and we can start playing with some dates.

Tim - yeah, I'm hoping to expand the expedition side. Any special requests? ;-)

Rich

Hmmm... ! Something that I've heard a lot about and not really dived would be the north American cool-temperate areas. Great Lakes and St Lawrence (wooferbitch territory) ? Pacific Northwest (LCF's area) ? Nova Scotia (not sure who's there) ? I don't know what dive infrastructure there is around Nova Scotia but the nitrox-depth wrecks and like big marine life looked great if a talk at a recent dive show was to be believed.

Now you've got me thinking :-)

By the way, do you have a news mailing list on your site? I couldn't see one but might have just missed it.

Malta/Gozo?

Scapa and the Red Sea ought to be popular too, but aren't too tricky to sort trips out to

zoglet is on a distinguished road

Good luck for the future Rich,

As soon as I find gainful employment I'm sure some of my dive tokens will find their way to you!
