There were complications and he's now in ICU but he's doing fine and getting stronger by the minute! Mother is doing well also and has hopefully managed some sleep this morning. We're hoping that baby will be back on the ward with mum this evening.

Obviously I'm chuffed to bits and back off to the hospital shortly.

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes, I have passed these on to Alida and she says thanks too. Very much appreciated.

Dylan is now out of ICU and with mum on the ward. It had been just over 12 hours since mums fleeting glimpse of Dylan and you can imagine what she was like waiting! They had a good couple of hours skin to skin bonding and all is well with the world, both doing fine and trying to sleep, they have both been through a helluva lot in the last 24 hours.

I'm still running on pure adrenalin!! I really can't describe the feelings at the moment, the emotions have been a rollercoaster, but I know that my wife and I grew about a 1000 percent closer since yesterday evening.

Will have to think about a new name now.. Hmmm. JAG is a combination of my wife and kids names, James, Alida, Georgia, not sure how the D from Dylan is going to fit in..
