Come help build the DIR content on the Scuba Encylopedia scupedia.com

Hey Guys,

Time to tell you a about a little project that I and Jb2cool and others have been working on for a while.

www.scupedia.com - the scuba encylopedia! We have had peeps from all round the globe trying to get it started and the base structure and content is in place...

Jb2cool has come up with some cool articles around DIR and really got the ball rolling see http://www.scupedia.com/index.php/DIR and then http://www.scupedia.com/index.php/Category:DIR

Can anyone help fill in some of the gaps around writing some articles or completing other articles on skills.

It really is a dead dead easy system to use, and anyone can edit the pages by clicking the edit button. To start a new page just click on a link to one thats not there allready (link will be red) so if you wanted to do a new page on a skill - you could edit the main DIR page and put a new link in then click on that link...ps at the bottom of the new page you would then tell the system it was a cateory by saying [[Category DIR]] and [[Category Dive Skills]]

Go play - its dead easy and Jb2cool or i can help!

S

Is it my imagination or is there a Scuba Wiki explosion going on?

We have wikiscuba, scupedia, the one on the BSAC servers all at the same time!

What's going on?

Maren is on a distinguished road

There is a similar project going on over here in Germany: divewiki

What about joining those two together and get a multilingual Divewiki...
(I know, great idea, but who's going to do the job??? )

There's me sub-DIRF level and the most inexperienced person on this board and i'm writing online articles in the art of DIR. Got to be something wrong there. It told techadmin but would he listen??? would he hell.

If anyone spot anything that they disagree with in my article, just let me know and i'll change it out straight away.

I still need to fill it out a bit more and write a bit about kit configurations.

As techadmin says, it's actually really easy to do. I started off by copying the code of someone elses page and just editing the content. You get used to how the markup works that way. I'm on call for any help needed.
