The comments on water temperature are spot-on. It can be very variable around Bali - anything from 18-25 degrees... me? I dive DRY - with just a base layer.. some think it overkill but I am a notorious WIMP when it comes to being cold.. I'd rather be warm and smiling at the end of the dive.. of your two choices definitely 5mm if you are planning the standard Bali 4 dives plus a night dive day.. you'll need a hood and gloves too.

But then you're probably not a softy like me..
