Question Dump Valve Positioning

The suit I am using now has the autodump positioned over my bicep. This is a sub optimal position for horizontal ascents.

I am thinking of having a dump fitted between bicep and tricep and a little closer to the elbow than normal. When horizontal this should be in the correct place. Am I right?

I have read some concerns that this position wouldn't allow the suit to hold any air at all. But surely the suit will only dump when the pressure inside is greater than the pressure of the surrounding water. What do you think?
