Yes I guess the only way is to give it a go.
I don't want to make this a debate of whether to use a leash or not with two deco stages, this has been done before, so let's just say I am carrying three.

I am setup like on the attached picture. The D-ring is in front of the bottle, and if the leash has to go from the Dring towards my butt, it has to "go around" the bottle to do so.
