They seem to be having a few teething issues with the electronics - but I've looked at one and it is impressive.

Whilst it doesn't quite have the "focus" of a HID - the colour temp is great, the compactness of the head is a big plus and in the long term I think this will be the future.

Not quite HID - but 80% there.

For divers who don't need the focussed beam that we use for signalling - it's probably there now.

I still much prefer the way the Halcyon lights connect to the battery inside the cannister with banana connectors. The Anderson jobbies allow the battery to move around in the cannister in transit and after a while it takes its toll on solder connections etc.

Our team have been given a 21w LED in a variety of conditions including wreck and cave and we'll stick a report up in due course.
