My Lovely new TLS Explorer arrived yesterday and its a work of art.

I managed after getting some hints from here to get the zipgloves fitted and I asked around about the pockets, I dived today just boltsnapping stuff to the suit D Rings (not good as its difficult to get stuff out, will put bungee on after the suit is washed and dried, Yes I am just back home and straight on here!)

Anyway went for a dive, reaslied I hadnt tightened up the spring straps on my jetfins, aborted dive one after trying to fin once and the straps came right off my foot

So back out the water took the spring starps in an adjustment with the screwdriver and pliers.

Put the fins back on and back in the water.

Remembered tro cut the hood so it wasnt too tightt, so done that too (note I did try dive 0.1 with it too tight, I really should be shot for that)

The fins stayed on better (ML socks with Turbo soles, size 9.5 feet, Fourth Element Arctic socks, XL Scuba Pro Jet fins).

I did have to reached down and pull the spring strap back up. Managed a wee confined water 20 minute bimble ok, suit fits great, I can reach my valves on my twinset (not very effeciiently and Im sure my buoyancy was all over the place, however having not been trained yet I am ok with this).

Used my wing for buoyancy, took the squeeze off with the suit inflator (first time using dry gloves too), its weird they go very wrinkly. Suit Dump Valve full open.

Anyway done a wee guddle done a safety stop ok, now its here I had a bit of an issue.

The spring straps after letting air out my suit, both went below my feet and pulled the booties by the turbo soles forward on my feet thereafter rendering my fins useless they just wobbled about.

I managed my accent OK although uncomfortable.

WTF?

Ok so Ive read about folk using finkeepers but I dont understand how these work, is that what I need?

Its the first I have dived in anything other than wetsuit/ drysuit boots with a big rubber bulge on the heel to put the straps over and stop them sliding down.

Is this normal, how do you guys compensate for it? What did I do wrong?

Anyway I didnt do the second dive, I just wandered around providing shore support.
