I would suspect that loss of red blood cell mass would have minimal effect on oxygen transport. You will have less haemoglobin to transport the oxygen but it will be more efficient when diveing than at the surface because of the increased ppO2, which will also drive O2 into solution in the plasma to some extent, helping to compensate for loss of RBCs.

As far as nitrogen elimination is concerned I can't see this being compromised once your circulating volume has been restored.
