I've currently got both DIRZone and Halcyon wetnotes, Both seem very good, The Halycon gains points though by having a "bookmark". It's a bit of thin webbing attached at one end and velcro'd at the other.

As for pencils, I've been using pencils made of recycled Vending cups, which seem quite good so far, and don't crack. I've also seen 100% graphite pencils which looked quite interesting but I've not yet had a chance to try.
