I drill a 3.2mm hole in the handle, then thread it M4 using only the first 2 taps of a 3 tap set. The hole in the knifesheath is now countersunk and attached to the handle with a countersunk screw of the right length (cut and file to length) using a nasty grade of Locktite (green or for the really brave red). Tighten the screw so the sheath is snug and not too easy to turn.

You will probably have to fit the knifehandle to the inside of the goodmann handle using a file, the objective is to have the knife laying down on the goodmann handle over a wide area with no space in between.

If you do it right it'll take around a half hour of work, but will last for years.
