I was advised to bring my drysuit for my Cave 2 class in Mexico and it turned out to be good advice, at least for me. I used a TLS350 and DUI200G thinsulate and was very comfortable on our dives, up to 2 hours in length. If I wore any less (or dove wet), I know I would have felt cold. Lots of people use 300G polartech too. I guess it depends how easily you get cold but I'd suggest somewhere in the range of 100G-300G thickness. Don't take the 400G or you will roast alive.
