I have made my own stage kits but when I added it all up (2 X bolt snaps, cord, tube, jubilee clip, cover for jubilee clip, depth markings, rubber bands) even with some bits made for next to nothing or free, it still cost about 80% of buying a kit....so considering the time it took me to get everything together, I decided it was just easier and neater to by kits for the sake of £5
