| Correct way to deploy backup light?
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if there is a recommended way to deploy a backup light, or if someone has a better way than I use.
I do this:
- If I want to deploy the left light, for example, I lift up my left hand (bending the elbow) so that my thumb is up against the body of the light.
- Then I slide my thumb down the side of the light until I hit the band that is securing the bulb end.
- I hook my thumb under the band and pull down until the light head is free
- Now, with it hanging by the boltsnap, I turn the light on
-Then I unclip it from the D-ring
I do it this way because I find it nearly impossible to turn the light on with it still bungied, but I know it is supposed to be turned on before unclipping it.
I know this is one of those simple things, but sometimes when you are used to doing things one way you don't think about other possibilites.
Just wondering how everyone else does it.
