Went to my girlfriends parents house this weekend as i hadn't been back fr a while and we were going to have a nice quiet weekend without really doing anything.
Friday,
Finish work at lunchtime and go to view a house (Looking at buying you see) then head back to Gloucestershire. When we get there we pick up one of her friends and go to see a rendition of the 'Vagina monalogues' which was eye-opening to say the least. Have curry and head home.
Saturday,
We wake up early and have breakfast (We are setting of early). We are going to Wookey Hole today as i have never been before. Ok, into the car and jump onto the M5. Drive, drive, drive. It's warm in the car as the sun is out and it's a nice day so i drink some water and Emma has some too (We finish the bottle). I want some more water and feel around the back of the car till i find another heaver (So it's got something in it) water bottle. Bring it round, unscrew the top and take a mouthfull........
WTF!!! something aint right!!! this water tastes funny. Spit whatever is left in my mouth back into the bottle and take a look. Yes, you guessed it. It's sodding antifreeze. Antifreeze OMG i just drank antifreeze!!!! Of all the things i could have drank antifreeze is one of the worst. I heard about a guy that accidentaly drank some and then all these crystals started forming in his brain and now he's blind, paralysed and brain damaged. Nice.
So we pull in at the nearest services and but 2 big 1.5l bottles of water which i start drinking. We phone NHS direct who advises me to go directly to hostpital without passing Go or collecting £200. So off to Weston Super Mare general hostpital we go.
I'm starting to get a headache about now and i'm wondering if it's the crystals forming already or whether it's just the worry of my situation. I keep drinking the water (Done 2l by now and damn i need to pee). Arrive at the hostpital and can barely stand up out of the car i need to pee so bad. Waddle into A&E take a leak and then check in. 1 Hour later i get seen by triage (Sp?) and tell her what's happened. She gives me a funny look and sends me outside to wait again. Another hour and a half goes by before i get seen and i still have the headache.
Anyway when i eventually get seen (About 1pm by now) they take me through and start testing me out. I have to pee in a pot for them, they take blood pressure, blood sugar levels, arterial bloods from my wrist and a fair few vacutainers of blood from my vein. Shave my chest and stick me on a 12 wire ECG machine. They also get me to focus on a finger and follow it at different distances to check for brain damage. A while later they come back and seem fairly happy with all the tests but now tell me they want to put me on pupervision for 12 hours. Girlfriend it a little annoyed by now.
Tick, tock, tick, tock. 12 hours is a long time sitting on a bed in hostpital just waiting. The only thing to break the monotony is the half hourly blood pressure/pulse/breathing rate checks i have to have done. All this time i'm hooked up to an ECG machine to monitor me.
Eventually at just past midnight they allow me out. We are both pretty hungry now so go off to Weston-super-Mud of queue up with all the clubbers and drunkards at the local burger/kebab place. Mmmmmm never tasted anything so good. After chomping down a 1/4 pound of lard and grease and a portion of salty greasy chips we head home for bed.

Yep, i'm still alive, can see out of both eyes and wiggle both feet. Result
. Get up, go to garden centre and have lunch and buy flowers. Go to Tesco and go back to Emma's parents to cook dinner for everyone. Have dinner. Watch Narnia on DVD and clear off home.
