Thats what stoney tried saying and then produced a letter from the HSE and when Mark P and I read the letter it said that the HSE had no problem with it but that the individual may refuse to fill any cylinder at their descrestion. This was also the rules I was told to abide by when I worked at the NDC. If the cylinder went bang with me filling it guess who's closest to absorb most of the explosion!

I personaly see nothing wrong with having 300b valves on 200 cylinders but as mentions you may well have problems getting them filled.

As for boots I personaly have no boots on my twins but when working as a gas blender I think it should be mandatory especialy in a busy gas room!
