Would dive with anyone after a quick check-out, but perhaps not to the limits of my qualification unless the check-out was very confidence-inspiring.

How they then conducted themselves as a buddy/team member in and out of the water would strongly influence whether I would dive with them again. I've had several uneventful perfectly 'safe' dives with people from my dive school (none of them DIR though some techy and some very experienced who ought to know better) with whom I would not dive again.

I'd dive with just about anyone in a shallow quarry dive or easy sea dive (harbour or shallow, slack tide etc) if it was well within my comfort zone.
